Day spa services to seek for
Sources of stress are everywhere: at home, in the workplace, in the grocery store, etc. And we all know stress is not among the ingredients towards a healthy living. In fact, stress can really take a toll on a person's appearance, now whoever wants to be unattractive anyway? So in this stressful world we live in, what are some of the these we can do to help relieve the stress? It's always good to take a break and unwind from a weeks or even months worth of long hard work. Sometimes I go home and spend a good time relaxing with some good old aromatherapy, burning some lavender scented oil. Although once in a while it'll be nice to head to a spa, a great place when you its hard to find a peaceful time at home. Whether it's the neighbors, the new house construction down the road or you just can't tear yourself away from your work loaded emails. This is when a spa can become like a safe haven for most people.
A day spa can offer beautifying and relaxing services which most of us seek. A full body massage is always a good way to release stress and the day spa is the perfect place to get one. Day spas offer various kinds of massage therapies. Some massage techniques are exotic, originated and developed in a foreign land. Others are familiar and usual massage techniques which are enhanced using fragrant and aroma therapeutic oils. In general, massage has a soothing effect in relaxing the tensed and taut muscles of the body. If there are parts of your body which you think is heavily and seriously sore such as the back or the neck area, you just tell the masseuse or masseur to give you a vigorous and gentle rubbing on that area.
Do you use Aromatherapy for relaxation?
See results without votingHave any of you heard of a hot stone massage? They're the ones where hot stones as the name is called, are first placed on the key points of the body. After these key point areas absorbs the heat released from the stone, the therapist will start gently massaging the soothed muscles. Usually these massage sessions can last from 30-60 minutes. Although do take note that etra charges may apply for longer massage sessions.
Another popular service from the day spa is the facial treatment which takes care of your face and neck. The facial treatment provided by the day spa pampers the said areas to make the skin glow and appear beautiful. If you want not just your face and neck to be pampered and beautified, then an overall day spa service, the body treatment, is probably just what you need. This service involves treatment from your head down to your toes. With body treatment, all parts of your skin will be invigorated and rejuvenated making them healthy and glowing.
Another service from the day spa which will cover your entire body is a full body scrub. Sea salts are applied to your body in a form of slight massage. The sea salts will exfoliate your skin and take away not just the dirt but the dead skin cells. When the sea salts are scrubbed on the skin, layers and build up of flaky and dry skin are removed to reveal a soft, healthy and vibrant skin. The dead skin cells if not removed from the skin covers the healthier and new skin cells, which is why skin appears dull and lifeless.
Body wraps are also available from the day spa. Like massage therapies, body wraps are of various types. You can choose any type of body wrap which suits your preferences and needs. Every type of body wrap utilizes a kind of ingredient that is good for the skin to make it glow with health after being pampered, calmed and relaxed. For instance the herbal wraps. Hot towels are soaked in an aromatherapy oil mixture then wrapped around the entire body. The oils soften the skin; remove the toxins present in the skin and the body.
So what do you do to relax yourself after a long stressful week?

Foot Scrub from the Kitchen
Foot scrub is one service in a day spa that I have learned from livelihood training. Other than aromatherapy, one product used in foot spa is a foot scrub. Buying a foot scrub from the store can cause you to spend a lot of money but there are actually ingredients inside a pantry or kitchen that may be used to make a homemade foot scrub.
This is just one of the many recipes of homemade foot scrubs that you can use instead of expensive commercially available foot scrubs. Gather and mix together 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of refined uncooked oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of honey, lemon juice and olive oil. The resulting paste like material is then ready to apply on your feet. After massaging your heels with this foot scrub, rinse it with warm water.
