For some ladies, following the wedding styles of the present day can make their wedding in vogue.

The Economical and Green Weddings

Prompted by the economic crisis that affects everyone in the world, finding ways to cut the cost of the whole wedding is definitely something many of us explore. Whether it's as simple as hiring a wedding dress rather than buying. Or cutting back on guests to finding less expensive wedding venues such as the beach or parks and even at home. I think it's great that many couples are also finding ways to creating a more eco-friendly / green wedding as well. Not only can it cut cost but can also contribute to a greener environment. So in general, I also think it's a great option to opt for budget-friendly yet chic wedding alternatives and of course environmentally friendly. Also, many couples are now diverting from a traditional wedding to something more unconventional in many themes, such as super heroes to Halloween themes. Maybe even Vampire with the vampire craze going on.

Wedding Dress Styles

Rather than the usually long white dresses. There are many designs where brides can choose more bold and daring dresses. Though some still prefer long trains while walking down the aisle, others are opting for stylish shorter dresses. Short dresses like tea-length dresses are not just for casual ceremonies. By selecting the proper fabric, one short dress can be worn in a particular wedding. Short cotton wedding dress with tulle layers is perfect for a summer or spring wedding while a short dress made with heavy silk accessorized by a bolero or an overcoat is just fine for a formal winter wedding. Even Bikini wedding dresses for beach weddings, yes! I've seen photos.

Wedding Dress Colors

As for the color of the wedding dress, we are no longer limited to just choosing from shades of white, off-white or creams. Ladies gather around, purity is no longer gauged by plain and neutral colors but with what really is inside. If bridesmaids can wear colorful gown, so can the brides. Some brides wear the boldest colors of black or red. Some prefer pink, orange, blue, green or whatever color it is that they prefer. Whatever color we see fit, there's bond to be one that fits.

Wedding Veils

Of course we can't leave out the wedding veils, there's long ones, mid length ones to short ones, and more stylish veils such as Madonna or bird cage veils. This shorter veil can be designed with jewels, flowers or feathers. There's even tiaras if you prefer that over a veil, or maybe simple pins.

The Reception

When it comes to wedding receptions, most couples choose to accommodate their guests in a backyard. Especially if the couple just wants a very intimate and personal wedding, a backyard event is so perfect. Aside from making guests feel at ease, a garden or backyard wedding reception is a sure way to save expenses on costly wedding venues. With a backyard wedding, couples can just order catered foods or simply home-made dishes like barbeque or steak.

The Invitations

As for wedding invitations and favors, couples are now deciding to create them on their own. The main idea here is not to just cut cost on professionally made items but to create invitations and favors that are creative and personalized. If couples do their own invitations, they can incorporate their own styles and designs. For their wedding favors they can bake or make their own edible favors like homemade chocolates, cookies, cupcakes or even craft small bags and accessories. There really are a wide range of options for DIY wedding favors and invitations.

I agree mulberry. Personally I think that spending too much money for a wedding is sometimes not practical. It is the life after the wedding which should be given more preparation. Thanks.
